About the Curator
For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving students, teachers, and school communities in Baltimore City. Along the way, I’ve been a classroom teacher, instructional coach, founding principal, and chief academic officer with a charter operator. My name is Natalia Walter Adamson and this is my blog.
This blog is where leadership meets heart and strategy embraces humanity in every post. This isn’t a blog about educational theory. It’s written by someone who’s actually done the work. Edutipsy is where I share what I’ve learned, what I’m still learning, and the conversations I wish more education leaders were having. If something here helps you lead with a little more clarity, courage, or joy, then it’s worth uncorking.
My Journey
I’ve been the person designing professional development, coaching teachers after a difficult lesson, leading schools through crises, celebrating impossible wins, and helping leadership teams solve problems that don’t come with instruction manuals. Some days I’ve been the lead learner. Other days I’ve been the head coach. And more than a few times, I’ve been the first firefighter.
Those experiences have taught me that great schools are rarely built by flashy initiatives or perfect plans. They’re built through thousands of thoughtful decisions, strong relationships, relentless coaching, and leaders willing to do the hard work when no one is watching.
I’ve seen a lot over two decades in education—but not enough yet.
